Fighting for Farrer
The recent announcement by local woman Louise Burge, that she is standing up for this community and the broader region as a candidate at the federal election in four weeks time, is an amazing act of selflessness which needs to be recognised and supported with actions from the community.
Louise, like many, has watched successive governments ignore or abuse the needs of rural Australia in favour of “the party policy”. We need the voice of the bush to be heard. We need the votes in rural Australia to become valued, and our views on issues that affect our quality of life, and survival into the future, to be respected and considered.
Louise is a very articulated lady with a depth of knowledge on the issues that has seen this area go from being vibrant and positive, to becoming welfare dependant, with reducing services, and no light at the end of the tunnel.
Louise is a very determined and intelligent person who will not sell us down the proverbial river.
Louise will be investing her time and money into winning this election for our benefit. I am asking the community to invest in Louise by financially supporting her campaign as well as your vote, on August 21st. This is the best opportunity we have to send the message to the major parties that we will take no more of their relentless abuse of our region.
Please email this letter to as many friends and business associates throughout Farrer as possible. We need Louise Burge, as an independent, to represent us in Federal Parliament after August 21st.
